Where to find Skinfix in the UK and which products are vegan?

Have you heard of Skinfix, the Canadian brand that dermatologists love? Discover what makes Skinfix so effective, which products are vegan and where to find the brand in the UK.

Skinfix, a dermatologists’ favourite

Skinfix is on a mission to deliver “clean and clinically proven skin barrier solutions” that are “ advanced by Science and validated by Dermatology”.

The Skinfix story

The original Skinfix healing balm was created in 1870 by Thomas Dixon, a pharmacist in Yorkshire. This all-natural balm was able to heal and soothe skin redness, itching, eczema and dryness.

It became hugely popular and Thomas revealed the secret recipe to his son William who immigrated to Canada and continued to produce the balm.

In 2006, several generations later, Karen Warner officially created Skinfix to make the healing balm widely available.

Amy Gordinier-Regan, a beauty industry expert, acquired the brand in 2012 and set out to expand the range, offering targeted solutions for several skin conditions alongside a hydration line for everyone.

Why do dermatologists love Skinfix skincare?

Skinfix is the first clinically active skincare brand that is tested and recommended by unbiased dermatologists, who recognise the benefits of using their skincare to protect the skin barrier.

Skinfix products are formulated to be kind on the most sensitive skin and are suitable for those with skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea or keratosis pilaris.

Plus, Skinfix has banned a lengthy list of potentially toxic, allergenic or irritating ingredients from all their formulations to ensure that their whole range is safe for your skin and your health.

Skinfix’ signature ingredient

Many Skinfix skincare products are infused with the brand’s patented Triple Lipid Complex™ technology. This complex acts as a lipid multiplier which helps replenish the lipids in your natural skin barrier.

But why is strengthening it important? Your skin barrier is like a protective armour against environmental aggressors, inflammation and premature ageing.

The older we get, the less lipids our skin produces naturally. By age 30, you can lose up to 40% of the lipids in your skin barrier, which is why strengthening it with targeted skincare is key.

Is Skinfix vegan and cruelty-free?

Skinfix is 100% cruelty-free. They do not test their ingredients or finished formulas on animals and do not sell in Mainland China.

The vast majority of Skinfix products are vegan, however a handful of them contain beeswax.

Sustainability

Skinfix is on a journey to becoming more sustainable and the brand has already reduced their plastic use by over 80% by implementing a refill system for their best-selling products.

Where to buy Skinfix skincare in the UK?

Skinfix is now available at Sephora UK. The whole range isn’t on the UK website yet but all the Skinfix best-sellers are. The refill system isn’t available yet in the UK but it will hopefully be in the future.
