Green People Age Defy+ review: skincare for thirty-something skin

I’ve been incorporating some products from Green People’s Age Defy+ range into my skincare routine. If you’re in your thirties, experiencing breakouts and dullness alongside signs of ageing, this range is exactly what your skin needs. Here’s my honest review of the Age Defy+ products I’ve been testing out.

About Green People

Founded in 1997 by Charlotte Vøhtz, Green People is a British skincare brand dedicated to organic and natural beauty. The brand was born out of Charlotte’s mission to find gentle yet effective skincare solutions for her daughter’s sensitive skin, leading her to develop a range free from harsh chemicals and artificial additives.

Green People champions cruelty-free and vegan beauty, using certified organic ingredients to cater for every skin needs. With a strong commitment to the environment, the brand ensures its formulations are kind to both skin and planet.

Over the years, Green People has grown into becoming a skincare, haircare body care and sun care brand catering to various skin types, including sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

Each product is carefully crafted to deliver high-performance results without compromising on purity or integrity.

Green People Age Defy+ range

The Green People Age Defy+ range is designed for women in their thirties and over, targeting the first signs of ageing whilst being kind to sensitive skin.

The range harnesses the properties of plant-based actives like sea holly stem cells, baicalin (a powerful anti-ageing extract from the Baikal skullcap plant) and green marine macro algae to boost collagen production, improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

The latest addition to the Age Defy+ range is the Retinal Booster Serum, a powerful anti-ageing formula featuring Retinal, which works much faster than Retinol for visible and long-term results.

Green People Age Defy+ honest review

Here are my honest thoughts on the 3 products I’ve tried so far.

AHA Radiance Peel Mask

This gentle peel mask exfoliates and brightens skin using 5 exfoliating natural extracts. It helps remove dead skin cells, giving your skin its glow back. It also contains Aloe Vera, making it incredibly soothing.

This peel mask has become a weekly must-have for my dull, tired skin – especially now in my thirties as fine lines seem to stand out more when my complexion isn’t quite glowing.

It has a creamy, refreshing texture that feels like a comfort blanket on the skin - combined with the lovely scent of Mandarin and Neroli, it truly is a dream to apply. This mask has now become part of my Sunday evening pampering ritual.

Soft Buff Skin Exfoliator

Infused with Bamboo Steam and Pineapple extract, this exfoliator gently removes dead skin cells to improve skin texture and keep dullness at bay.

I really enjoy the slightly grainy texture, which not only feel lovely on the skin but also exfoliates well without being too abrasive.

I tend to struggle with dullness and congestion, and using this twice a week really helps keep my skin smooth and clear. I’ve noticed fewer bumps under the skin, and my complexion always looks instantly brighter after I rinse it off.

Purifying Balancing Oil Serum

This serum helps regulate sebum production, refine pores and improve skin texture. It combines Ginger Leaf Cell Extract, Jojoba and Black cumin oils to rebalance, hydrate and show breakouts the way out.

I never really had acne in my teens, but recently I’ve been dealing with frustrating breakouts in my thirties. A few months ago, I had stubborn spots on my chin that wouldn’t go away despite using my usual products.

I decided to try applying this serum directly to the problem areas morning and evening, and within 10 days, my skin was visibly clearing up. Now, after a few weeks, the spots haven’t come back.

I love that this oil is gentle and not drying – it’s done an amazing job of regulating sebum levels and preventing future breakouts. It’s my favourite Green People product yet!
