Top 3 breakfasts & brunch spots in Dubai near Jumeirah Beach Residence
Visiting Dubai and staying near Jumeirah Beach Residence? Check out these 3 awesome spots for a vegan breakfast or brunch!
Bake my Day
Bake my Day is located right by Marina beach and you can see the big wheel from the terrace of the restaurant.
This place is very family-friendly with options for all diets and preferences, including a bunch of plant-based items on the breakfast menu. They also have several plant-based milk alternatives for your latte or cappuccino.
We visited this place twice. The first time I opted for the Good Vibes bowl, which you can asked to have vegan by swapping the honey for date syrup. It’s a rich and creamy smoothie bowl with a bunch of tasty toppings. I really enjoyed this breakfast.
The second time I had the chia seed pudding which was nice but if you’re super hungry, you might find the portion too small.
My only regret about this place is that their croissants look amazing but unfortunately they don’t have any vegan ones. Hopefully soon!
Soul Sante
Soul Sante is a bit more out the way but it’s absolutely worth the 18 minute walk from JBR!
The restaurant is open from early morning to evening, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as treats for your afternoon pick-me-up. I wish I had discovered it earlier during my stay, I would definitely have gone more than once!
I went there mid-day and I was in the mood for something savoury first, so I ordered the Eggless omelette, which is lentil-based. I came with avocado, spinach, vegan mayo and a refreshing pineapple salsa. I absolutely loved it and it was very filling.
I also highly recommend getting a freshly squeezed orange juice, there’s nothing better on a hot day.
Although I was not really hungry anymore after the omelette, my sweet tooth kicked in when I saw the sweet treats on display.
I decided to get a piece of tahini brownie, which they warmed up before bringing to my table. It was good, but to be honest I would have expected it to be more gooey.
A lot of items on the menu seem very appetising and next time I visit Dubai, I really want to try their pancakes and carrot cake.
Projeto Acai
This is the place to go to if you’re in the mood for a delicious acai bowl (that actually tastes good). They also have other options such as Poke bowls, for all diets but a good chunk of vegan dishes.
I only had acai bowls there and they really hit the spot.
The first time, I had the Brownie Amor bowl, topped with vegan brownie chunks (delicious!!), fruit, grated coconut and their homemade walnut granola which is divine too.
The second time, I had the Peanut Bomba Acai which is topped with a generous serving of their homemade peanut butter, their walnut granola, mango, and banana.
You also have the option to create your own combo of toppings.
Another good thing is that you can choose your bowl size. I went for the medium and it was enough to refuel after my run. If you fancy a dessert or afternoon snack, a small bowl will be enough.
The only downside of this place is that the wait can be long.
