adidas activewear for Spring 2022
Powerimpact Training Medium Support Bra
I first spotted this sports bra because of its gorgeous colour and racer back. but there’s more to it.
I would say that it offers true medium support and is great for a wide range of activities. I’ve worn it for resistance training and spin sessions so far with no issues at all. Now, I’m a B cup so in terms of support, I can only speak from this point of view.
It also features adidas’ AEROREADY technology, which is designed to keep moisture away from your body by moving sweat to the outer surface of the fabric. If there’s one criteria I have for my gymwear, it’s that is has to be sweatproof.
On the website photos, the fabric looks silky soft and the great news is, it is super soft in real life too. It’s also made from 79% recycled materials.
Style wise, the racerback is my favourite feature. I find it more flattering for the back and shoulders. I also like the mesh panels, which are not only stylish but also practical, letting the air flow and keeping you cool.
The padding is removable, however the straps are not adjustable. It’s absolutely fine for me, but if you need more room then it might not be the best bra for you.
I’d say it’s true to size, I’m wearing a size S which is always my sports bra size.

Optime Trainicons 7/8 Tights
I’m only 5ft and if you’re short too, you can relate to the struggle of finding leggings that fit. I always look for 7/8 tights because I know that they’ll look full length on me but at least won’t be too long.
I came across this pair of leggings and I was so surprised to see that there are 3 options: standard, tall and petite. It’s the first time I see such options on the adidas website, not sure if I simply never came across this before or if it’s new, but I’m here for it!
Of course I went for the Petite leggings which match my sports bra (but other colours are available) AND are truly 7/8 length on me this time!
These leggings feature everything you’d expect from adidas activewear: the sweat-wicking AEROREADY technology, the technical but soft, second-skin feel fabric and of course the iconic 3 stripes (which are not too obvious). There’s a small inside mesh pocket at the waist, where you can fit a key.
They are high waisted with a tight fit but the the four-way-stretch fabric offers enough room to move without feeling restricted.
In line with adidas’ sustainability mission, these leggings are made with 76% recycled polyester.
I wear a size XS and they fit like a glove (I’m a UK 6).

Designed to Move Studio Sport Tank Top
Cropped tank tops are my favourite type of tops to wear for a workout, they’re both comfy and flattering especially when combined with high waist leggings.
With the relaxed fit and the dropped armholes, I feel like I have complete freedom to move in this top, almost as if I was only wearing a sports bra.
Plus, the fabric (53% cotton, 47% recycled polyester) is super breathable and features the AEROREADY technology to keep you sweat-free.
I wear it to workout (it was perfect for a sweaty boxing class) but I could totally see myself wear it as a loungewear top or even with a high waisted pair of jeans.

Studio Lounge Summer Crew Sweatshirt
One thing I was missing in my gym wardrobe was a long sleeve, loose top I can keep on until I get warm enough.
Well, not anymore as I found this long sleeve crop top! I even ventured out of my “comfort zone” dark colour palette and picked this light pink colour.
It’s all in the details with adidas. The Ribbed crewneck + cuffs and batwing sleeves make this casual top super stylish, even when worn for lounging around.
Finally, I love the super soft fabric (70% cotton, 30% recycled polyester French terry) and the fact that is was dyed using botanicals only.

Duramo SL 2.0 shoes
These shoes are meant to be daily, all-round trainers for all sorts of activities from running a 5k to running errands, but I’ll mainly wear them for my gym sessions. Nothing like a pair of white trainers to complete a gym outfit!
They’ve got comfy cushioning, feel super lightweight and are supportive, but I wouldn’t say that they provide the kind of support I’m looking for in a running shoe.
If you’re running often, I would recommend investing in a pair of more technical running shoes and having a pair of Duramo or similar shoes for the gym/low-impact activities.
I’m also hoping that if I exclusively wear them inside, they’ll keep that “fresh out of the box” white colour for a long time.
You’ll need to size up in these. I’m usually a UK 4 and I definitely needed a 4.5.

Oh and I also found a long-sleeve running top in the outlet section! You can see it worn in this Reel.
