I ordered a bunch of MyProtein vegan snacks to do a little taste test and share my honest opinions. Let’s start with a MyVegan Gooey Filled Cookie Review!

What is the MyVegan Gooey Filled Cookie?

Described as a high protein, low sugar cookie with a rich chocolate flavour and a gooey centre, it seems like an even more decadent snack than the original vegan baked cookie. The product description definitely makes you want to try it!

100% vegan, this snack is made with soy protein and is completely palm-oil free.

MyVegan Gooey Filled Cookie exists in two flavours: Double Chocolate & Salted Caramel and Double Chocolate & Peanut Butter, which is the one I tried.

How many calories does one MyVegan Gooey Filled Cookie contain?

One MyVegan Gooey Filled Cookie contains 289kcal for the chocolate and peanut butter flavour. It has 15g protein, 34g carbs (only 3g sugar) and 12g fat.

This is what I read on the box I received, which is, for some reason, slightly different to what the website says (248kcal and 13g protein).

My honest review of the MyVegan Gooey Filled Cookie

First impressions when opening the sachet: it does have an appetizing chocolate smell. You can tell that it’s a soft, chewy cookie like the original.

Now, let’s tear the cookie apart and see what’s inside.

Texture

I was a little bit underwhelmed when I discovered the “gooey” centre. It doesn’t look as melty as the pictures make you believe, even after 30 seconds in the microwave.

It get softer when warmed up, but you don’t get the “melt in the middle” you’d expect from the photos.

Taste

The chocolate cookie part is delicious and the peanut butter filling gives a richer, more interesting flavour than the normal baked cookie. It’s a tasty protein snack and a great one to try if you’re a little tired of the baked cookie.

Is the MyVegan Gooey Filled Cookie worth buying?

It is definitely worth trying, especially if you’re looking for high protein snacks that are easy to consume anywhere, anytime.

As for the price, the RRP is £24.99 for a box of 12 cookies but there is always, always a discount available!
