About Bouclème

The clue is in the name, Bouclème is a brand celebrating curly hair and on a mission to help you fall in love with the hair you were born with.

Bouclème is a Black female-led business founded by Michele Scott-Lynch in 2013 who only started to appreciate the beauty of her own curls in her thirties, after years of straightening and damaging them.

She then started Bouclème to create a range of products that care for every kind of curls and are mostly plant-powered without any silicones, sulphates or parabens.

Responsible haircare

Bouclème use filtered rainwater instead of drinking water. The bottles are fill by using biomass renewable energy which saves tonnes of carbon emissions per year.

As for the packaging, the bottles contain up to 90% recycled plastic or bioplastic (from sugar cane).

Bouclème is also a company that gives back, by planting trees when you order a standard size bottle and giving a fraction of their hair oil sales to an NGO that improves the quality of life of young girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
