Where to find the best vegan pancakes in London

Craving some delicious vegan pancakes? Nobody wants to spend a small fortune at a London restaurant only to be served a disappointingly tasteless stack.

So if you’re looking for recommendations, here are my top 3 picks for the best vegan pancakes in London.

3 must-visit spots for the best vegan pancakes in London

Where The Pancakes Are

As the name suggest, this place specialises in serving fluffy, indulgent pancakes with both sweet and savoury options. They offer a handful of plant-based options, and can also cater to gluten-free diets.

There are three spots in London: Fitzrovia, London Bridge and Battersea Power Station.

The vegan pancakes are, in my non-vegan partner’s opinion, even thicker and better than the regular ones.

My favourite item on their current menu is the Recovery Stack, which can be made vegan. Two thick pancakes are covered with banana, almond butter and apricot-almond granola and served with a side of maple syrup which you drizzle to your taste.

I’ve had this for breakfast several times and I’m not getting tired of it. I love the flavour & texture combo, which is super satisfying and keeps you full for quite a few hours.

Bobo & Wild

Known for its all-day brunch menu catering for every diet, Bobo & Wild can be found in several neighbourhoods, including Shoreditch and Stratford East Village where I went recently.

The current menu features a couple pancake options, one of them is vegan and is absolutely worth ordering. You’ll enjoy 3 pancakes topped with caramelised banana, fresh berries, maple syrup and coconut yoghurt.

What I loved the most was the hearty texture of the pancakes, substantial but not so thick that it’s hard to swallow. The portion size was spot on, I was satisfied but not overly full.

It was rather delicious and I hope this dish will still be on the menu next time I’m around.

Mallow

Last but definitely not least - in fact it’s the best spot for plant-based foodies in London- Mallow is a 100% plant-based restaurant with two locations: Canary Wharf and Borough Market.

Their whole seasonal menu is incredible, but if you’re just on a flying visit and can only eat there once, I’d highly recommend having breakfast at Mallow.

They currently have an incredibly tasty Tiramisu pancake dish, which has been highly successful and fingers crossed will stay on the menu for a little longer.

I love pancakes and tiramisu is my favourite dessert, so the two combined sounded heavenly to me and I really wanted to try this dish. It was even more delicious than I anticipated. Everything about it was perfect, from the thick chocolate pancake texture to the tiramisu “chantilly” on top, the balance of flavour and textures… Phenomenal is the best word to describe it.

It was also quite a generous serving - no need to order an extra pancake, two were more than enough. I went to the Canary Wharf location and the service was amazing.

I would highly recommend visiting this spot, you will certainly not be disappointed!
