Where to find the best vegan burger in Brighton

Vurger Co

Vurger Co is a 100% plant-based restaurant. Not only do they have the most amazing vegan burgers but they also have salads, fries and impressive shakes on their menu.

I would highly recommend the Auburger (Aubergine, tempeh, chickpea and chipotle patty, topped with vegan cheese, caramelised red onions, gherkins and chipotle mayo).

My partner, who is a former meat eater, had the NY Melt which is made with a Beyond Meat patty and tastes “meaty” and he loved it. I was too full for dessert but the Oreo shake looks incredible!

Vurger Co is my personal favourite. We loved the burgers so much that we went twice. We ate at the restaurant the first time and we ordered online for pick up the next day.

PS: there are two Vurger Co in London as well :)

Address: 13 Brighton Place, BN1 1HJ

Honest Burgers

Honest Burgers is a chain of burger joints which offers a few vegan options. The classic Plant Based burger is always a good choice.

If you want something more “meaty”, go for the Bacon one, made with This Isn’t Bacon. The burgers come with homemade rosemary salted chips.

Address: 8 Duke Street, BN1 1AH

Gourmet Burger Kitchen

GBK is another popular burger joint chain with locations across the UK. If you fancy a classic vegan cheeseburger, go for the “Beyond & Cheese”, which is basically a Beyond Meat patty and vegan cheese in a bun.

I would personally recommend the Californian, which combines a handmade bean patty, vegan Applewood cheese, smashed avocado, paprika onions, relish, harissa mayo and salad.

Check out the menu here.

Address: 44-47 Gardner Street, BN1 1UN

Smash Burger

With a few locations around the UK and several great vegan options, Smash Burger is another spot worth checking out.

They currently have three Signature Vegan burgers, all made with a Moving Mountains plant-based patty: the Classic Smash which is a vegan cheeseburger, the BBQ Cheddar and the Avocado Club on multi-grain bun, which is definitely my favourite.

Fancy something sweet? Smash Burger do vegan shakes!

Check out the menu here.

Address: 53 North Street, BN1 1RH

Patty and Bun

Patty and Bun is mainly a London chain, at the exception of their Brighton spot

You currently have three vegan options: a vegan cheeseburger, a vegan bacon cheeseburger and a vegan chicken burger with THIS Isn’t Fried Chicken Patty and paired with a delicious Smoked Garlic Aioli.

You can also order vegan chicken nuggets and vegan loaded fries.

Check out the menu here.

Address: 56 Ship Street, BN1 1AF
