Lumene Clear Glow Cleansing Gel Scrub review

Wondering if Lumene’s Clear Glow Cleansing Gel Scrub is suitable for sensitive skin or if it is effective for dullness-prone skin? Here’s my honest review.

I bought the product myself, this is not gifted or sponsored in any way.

Why should you exfoliate your face?

Before we talk about Lumene’s cleansing scrub, let’s focus on the main benefits of regular face exfoliation:

  1. To remove dead skin cells: Exfoliation effectively sloughs off dead skin cells, promoting a smoother complexion and enhancing skin texture.

  2. To unclog pores: By clearing away debris and excess oil, exfoliation helps prevent clogged pores, reducing the likelihood of acne and blackheads.

  3. To stimulate cell renewal: The process encourages cell turnover, promoting the growth of new, healthier skin cells for a more youthful appearance.

  4. To enhance product absorption: Exfoliating preps the skin to better absorb and maximize the benefits of serums, moisturizers, and other skincare products.

  5. To improve skin radiance: Regular exfoliation contributes to a brighter and more radiant complexion by reducing dullness and promoting a healthy glow.

How often should you exfoliate your face?

It is recommend to exfoliate your face 2 to 3 times a week. If your skin is particularly sensitive, keep the frequency to twice a week maximum.

Lumene Clear Glow Cleansing Gel Scrub

This cleansing scrub is part of Lumene’s Nordic-C [Valo] range, packed with glow-boosting ingredients and especially great for dullness-prone skin.

The Clear Glow Cleansing Gel Scrub offers gentle yet profound exfoliation using biodegradable beads to reveal instantly more radiant skin.

It is powered by wild Arctic cloudberry, a potent source of vitamin C and E which brightens and energises your skin.

Additionally, it has anti-ageing benefits thanks to a rich concentration of llagitannins, which play a pivotal role in preserving the collagen of your skin.

The second key ingredient is another of Lumene’s staples: Arctic Spring Water, sourced directly from springs in Finnish Lapland.

The gentle and non-drying formula is suitable for dry and sensitive-prone skin.

How to use Lumene Clear Glow Cleansing Gel Scrub?

Apply a small amount on damp, cleansed skin and massage in circular motions. The gel will foam a little. Then rinse off with cold water until all particles are gone.

RRP: £17.50 - You can find it on Sephora or Lookfantastic

Honest review of Lumene Clear Glow Cleansing Gel Scrub

I’m not someone who has naturally glowing skin, in fact I’m more prone to dullness than anything. Regular exfoliating helps, but my skin also tends to react to harsh treatments, so I need to carefully choose what I exfoliate it with!

I decided to test out Lumene’s gel scrub and it has quickly become a staple in my glow-boosting skincare routine.

Here’s what makes this exfoliating scrub the perfect product for dullness and sensitive prone skin:

  • It’s effective, but not aggressive. One of the standout features of this cleansing gel scrub is its ability to exfoliate gently yet effectively. The scrub particles are fine and non-abrasive, perfect for regular use without causing any irritation or redness. After each use, my skin feels incredibly soft and it getting rid of clogging dead cells helps keep congestion at bay.

  • It boosts skin luminosity: I can instantly notice a difference in how bright and “refreshed” my skin looks after using the Lumine exfoliator. It also makes my makeup look better.

  • It doesn’t make my skin dry: Despite being a scrub, this product doesn't strip my skin of its natural oils or leave it feeling tight and dry.

Plus, I really enjoy the refreshing gel texture and how “cleansed” my skin feels upon rinsing it off.

Overall, Lumene Clear Glow Cleansing Gel Scrub is a must-try for anyone looking to target dullness and maintain radiant-looking skin without using harsh exfoliating treatments. I use it about twice a week in the evening, but it’s so gentle that you can use it more often if you wish!
