Easy vegan French toast recipe

Here’s a quick, easy and delicious vegan French toast recipe. The perfect plant-based breakfast for a cosy and indulgent Sunday morning!

Ingredients to make vegan French toast

This is for one serving.

  • 2 thick slices of bread

  • 1 small cup of almond milk

  • 2 tablespoons of flour

  • maple or golden syrup (I use this sugar-free syrup)

  • cinnamon

  • vanilla extract or vanilla flav drops (which is what I use)

  • berries and/or any other toppings

How to make vegan French toast

Combine the almond milk and flour in a large bowl then whisk. Add a good drizzle of syrup, cinnamon and vanilla flavouring. Whisk again.

Put some oil in a pan and turn the heat on to medium high.

Dip a slice of bread in the bowl then cook it in the pan, 2 to 3 minutes per side or until golden.

Serve with some fresh berries, cinnamon and some more syrup. Feel free to add any other toppings, such as coconut yogurt, banana or vegan chocolate spread.
