The famous Australian self-tanning brand has recently launched their new Pure range. Here’s what makes this range special and my honest review of the Bondi Sands Pure Self Tanning Sleep Mask.

The Pure range by Bondi Sands is 100% cruelty-free, vegan, fragrance-free and sulphate-free. The formulas contain minimal ingredients and are suitable for sensitive skin.

How to use Bondi Sands Pure Self Tanning Sleep Mask?
First, remove any product from your face. Once your skin is clean and perfectly dry, apply a small amount of product evenly over your face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Wash your hands and avoid applying any other skincare products until the morning.
You can reapply as desired or apply it every two to three days to maintain a natural-looking tan.

My honest review of Bondi Sands Pure Self Tanning Sleep Mask
Let me start by saying that I’m not the type of person who self-tans from head to toe. It’s too much of a process and too high maintenance. The last time I used any fake tanning product before the Pure Sleep Mask was 8 years ago.
Why I wanted to try this product
After a year on and off lockdown, no sunny holiday to look forward to and rainy weather in the UK, I got tired of seeing my palest of the pale face. I was gifted the product from Bondi Sands, it seemed pretty easy to use so I decided to try it.
What I love about Pure Self Tanning Sleep Mask
1: It couldn’t be easier to apply and integrate into your routine. You just have to apply it like a night cream and let it work its magic.
2: Because I have very fair skin and I’m not a self-tanning pro, I was scared of waking up orange and patchy. Thankfully it wasn’t the case at all, it just gave me a warmer complexion after the first night but it looks very natural. It really is made for all skin tones!
On the photos above I’m not wearing any foundation, this is just the self-tan (two applications in 3 days) with a bit of blush.
3: It’s vegan, cruelty-free and I appreciate the effort from Bondi Sands to develop sustainable packaging solutions.
4: Finally it’s super low maintenance, I’m using it very 2-3 nights to maintain the tan and although I didn’t really do a great job on the neck area the first time, it doesn’t clash with the rest of my body.
The only thing is, you can’t really use any other skincare products on the night you apply this one, so if you love your evening skincare routine, you will not be able to use it every night. But I found that using it every 2 to 3 days is perfect!
One last thing you need to know: it has a very slight “biscuit” smell which is to be expected with fake tan. Oh and you might need to exfoliate your face more often in order to keep the tan uniform and not let it layer up too much on your skin.
Overall, Pure Self Tanning Sleep Mask is a great vegan self-tanning product that will give you a sun-kissed complexion overnight, without the hassle.
