5 Ways to Use Protein Powder (When You’re Tired of Protein Shakes)

Protein powder is a supplement and although I’d always recommend getting as much protein as possible from “real foods”, a scoop of protein comes in handy sometimes. Especially if you struggle to get enough protein in.

Did you know that protein shakes are not the only way to use protein powder? Here are 5 tasty alternatives.

5 Tasty Ways to Use Protein Powder

Protein Smoothie

Super simple, fast and yummy. Just blend together your protein powder, milk or yogurt and frozen or fresh fruits. You can also add chia seeds, acai powder, cacao, peanut butter, spinach… basically anything you’d like!

The options are endless. If the protein smoothie is your breakfast, you can add a cup of oats as well to fill you up.

Protein Porridge

I love adding 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein to my oats. Not only it’s a great way to add protein to your breakfast but it’s also helping you stay fuller for longer. As protein takes longer to be digested, it helps you combat the mid-morning cravings.

Protein Pancakes

Who doesn’t love pancakes on a Sunday morning ? There’s nothing wrong with regular pancakes but again, a great way to increase your protein intake is to add a scoop of protein to your pancake recipe (and decrease the quantity of flour)

I have a very, very simple & foolproof vegan pancake recipe: 1 cup flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, 1/2 cup almond milk (you might need to add more if it’s too thick), vanilla drops and cinnamon.

Protein Ice Cream

Make your own, healthier (and cheaper) protein ice cream! All you need is frozen berries, vanilla protein, peanut butter and a splash of milk. Blend and eat straight away.

Protein Bakes

Protein cookies, banana bread, brownies… Options are endless and recipes are all over the internet
