3 vegan-friendly breakfast spots in Seville

I recently spent a couple weeks in Seville and visited a handful of vegan-friendly cafes. Here are my top 3 recommendations for a vegan breakfast in Seville.

Jester

Jester is a tiny spot close to the Murillo Gardens. They have a few tables outside (but no heaters) and are mostly a grab and go cafe, especially when it’s cold.

All their breakfast bowls are vegan. They also offer a few other vegan options, from empanadas to banana bread.

I had the Peanut Butter bowl and an almond flat white when I visited this spot. The peanut butter bowl was good, although I expected the consistency to be like a smoothie bowl. It wasn’t smoothly blended and more like a sorbet.

It was topped with cacao nibs, chia seeds, banana, coconut flakes and some sort of chunky granola which was delicious.

The only downside was being charge an extra 50 cents for almond milk in my coffee, which seems a little excessive. I paid 9.80€ for this breakfast.

Jester’s address: Calle Puerta de la Carne, 7a

This spot is open from 8:30am to 2pm and from 4:30pm to 8:30pm every day.

Biomio

Biomio is a brunch spot just a short walk away from the Cathedral. They only have a couple tables inside, but the heaters and blankets make seating outside really enjoyable.

Biomio has a handful of vegan options on the menu, but I would recommend double checking with them as it’s not always crystal clear (for instance for the breakfast dishes with yoghurt).

I was really hoping that their waffles were vegan, unfortunately not so I settled for the peanut butter, banana and apple toast. A classic that never gets old!

I asked without honey to make it 100% vegan and they kindly offered to swap with agave syrup.

The bread was very good and they were generous with the peanut butter, which I was not going to complain about! It was a really satisfying breakfast, accompanied by an almond cappuccino which was the best coffee I had in Seville.

I paid 9€ for this breakast, once again there was a 0.5€ extra fee for the almond milk.

Biomio’s address: Calle Mateos Gago, 9B.

It is open from 8:30am to 4pm every day.

Milk Away

Milk Away is a laid back brunch restaurant near Plaza Nueva. It’s the most spacious spot out of the 3, with plenty of tables inside and outside. They offer breakfast and lunch formulas with different options of main dish, hot drink and smoothie.

It’s also the most vegan-friendly spot out of the 3, with plenty of plant-based options, from a variety of acai and smoothie bowls to avocado bagels and buddha bowls.

They also said they can make the pancakes vegan (double check if you want to order this just to be sure, but this is what I was told).

I went for a medium bowl of Red Berry Acai (a blend of acai, berries, banana and coconut milk) topped with fresh fruit, shredded coconut and some of their delicious granola.

The medium size bowl was enough for me, but if you’re really hungry you can get a large one.

The acai bowl was very tasty, unfortunately I didn’t particularly enjoyed my coffee. If I were to go back, I would skip the coffee and have a smoothie instead.

I paid 11.20€ for this breakfast (0.30€ extra fee for almond milk, a bit more reasonable than the other 2).

Milk Away’s address: Calle Carlos Cañal, 5B

It is open from 8:30am to 3:30pm Mon-Fri and open at 9:30 on the weekend.
